Pre Neev Event lightened by Mandira Bedi

As we had promised earlier that the best was yet to come, we now start to deliver on our promise. A pre Neev event in collabaration with Nokia was held on 22 September 2011 when we invited Mandira Bedi to our campus. After creating ripples on our campus and talking about Air Cricket, Mandira moved on to talk about Neev. She graced us with some photographs and has vouched for Neev '11. Some pictures of the same are herewith.

Keep watching! More to come soon!

A Blast from The Past!

Howdy!
As we have grown with time, its time we decided to go back in time and track those who had made earlier Neevs possible. So we decided to track down X Neevers and get some insights so that we become all smarter!!! So here we have the first interview with Shrenikk Jain, co-ordinator or Neev '06! (btw he's an AVP with HSBC now!)

What is your most memorable moment of NEEV '06?
Difficult to describe the most memorable "moment". Indeed for me, each and every single minute was memorable. From the moment the chief guest - Rajshri Birla arrived till the closing ceremony. For me every second was memorable. Cannot forget it.

What was the biggest challenge you faced?
Getting the team work together in a coordinated manner. There were people with different mindset / different friends groups. There were people who would not have wanted to work together, given a choice. Regular arguements/debates. Getting all of them to work together and deliver was the biggest challenge for me.

What was the funniest incident you remember of NEEV '06?
Not one, but many. Difficult to pen down a single incident.

What words of Wisdom would you have for the current and present Neevers?
Give it your best shot. You will remember this for your life time. Cherish every single moment you work for NEEV. Work, enjoy, work, enjoy. One thing what I realised during NEEV '06 was that if Subbu Sir gets the trust and confidence on the NEEV team and on the efforts and work done, he will provide his support in all manner. And......when you need some sleep, go and attend a class...... (and do not take my last advice seriously... :-))

So that was Shrenikk Jain, the co-oridinator of Neev '06 for you. Keep waiting. More to come!

Where I think unhindered,
where I act unshackled

Ideas are the psychological pushing out of boundaries – boundaries that nature does not impose, but we set on ourselves. These ideas, perhaps, are like what gravity was, before Newton gave it a name – something all felt, obliged, respected and lived with; but did not know of its existence. Once man learnt of its existence by giving it a name, he also devised ways and means of surmounting it – we built aircraft and spaceships.
A lot of our ideas are such – we know they are around us, and we feel, experience and sense them, but we don’t know what sense to make of them.
Such is how we chose to define the perimeters of what we call THE FOURTH QUADRANT.

It is the space where we go through a process of isolating what we feel and don’t know, or discovering what we don’t know, and giving it a name.
Only when we dare to venture beyond our known boundaries, we enter THE FOURTH QUADRANT, where knowledge is abundant; ideas, discussions and collaborations spark like livewires and consequences are unknown.

Most of what we call ideas promise high returns with disproportionately high risk. Post implementation of such ideas, one could not know whether she/he would make a dent towards his path to progress or repent his act of ideation. The uncertainty, which is so inherent and embedded in the journey through this Fourth Quadrant is what we explore this year.

2011, NEEV dwells, breeds and thrives in The Fourth Quadrant.

It was Chaos & Effect!

Chaos & Effect, NEEV 2010, is going to complete its anniversary soon yet those 3 days will always be special.
Be it the gusto which surrounded the crowing of augustus or the energy pulsating in the crowd when Parikrama performed. Of course, can one forget how the business games created their buzz, with participants running amock with the heard or how corporates looked galvanised sitting and tea-tottling amidst the student world? Nonetheless, paintballs flying here and there, or people zorbing across the campus, informals creating havoc, bikes for test rides! And it shall remain engraved in our minds, like the sight of Subbu Sir giving the sign, to make it fine that we move in line. Yes, we all had fun, we all played games, some scored points in knowing management's lane. But now again, we stand here, a little ahead in time, wondering if all the effort went was just to create Cloud 9. A little older, a little wise, a little mature perhaps we've grown but something we all definitely look forward to is the next NEEV on the road.

Neev is back with a bang!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And so has the journey been for Neev all through the years. Not only has Neev gained popularity amongst the b school fraternity since its inception, but has also started gaining recognition and enthusiasm in under graduates. The attribute of Neev which makes it distinct is its ability to blend erudition with fun. After all, in how many b school events does one find serious rounds of case studies which run parallel to a rock climbing championship?

Hoping to continue in the same spirits which were creditworthy of earlier Neevs, Neev 2011 is back with a bang and as the saying goes, The best is yet to come!
